Seth Godin on the Big Differences Between an Entrepreneur and a Freelancer

Big D, like how you cleaned up for the man – Seth. I saw your previous interview with Seth because he’s also a personal mentor-at-a-distance for me, where he touched upon the same topic. Why it’s one of the worst times to be a Free Lancer, and best time to be creating business systems (Entrepreneur) and the thought hasn’t been able to leave my mind since. Literally every time I have a free moment to think about the direction I need to be heading, usually while I go for my morning run, which by the way is a great way to get creative ideas going on in your head because it’s just you and your huffing breath, I recall this conversation you had with Seth. I say to everyone that reads this post, avoid the Free Lancer trap where you find yourself hustling to make your money. If you’re not billing hours, you’re not making money. That to me, is no way to be living. How can you ever take a vacation? Build systems where you make money in your sleep, it’s obvious, but keep that one directive in your work day, and in the end, you’ll create your system.
