LeadPlayer: The Must-Have Video Player for Internet Marketers, Mediapreneurs, and Badass Online Entrepreneurs

VERY rarely does a product come along that gets me so excited that I must immediately start using it (immmmedddiattellyyyy!) and tell everyone else about it.

This is one of those products. Clay Collins from LeadPlayer (affiliate) reached out to me a few months ago about an amazing video player he was working on and he was wondering if I could take a look at it/test drive, etc.

Honestly, I get bombarded with products all the time (and I’m even MORE protective of directly endorsing them to you…because I protect you like a papa bear), so I was a little skeptical (and also I was in vacation mode as we had a trip overseas planned).

After we got back from Greece and Italy, I hopped in to try out LeadPlayer and I was BLOWN AWAY. I mean really blown away.

If you are looking to build your audience, generate more leads and bling with video, AND tap into the power of YouTube at the same time, it a no freakin’ brainer.

Check out why I love it (and my results since I started using it) in this video below.

A Few More Important Things

Here’s my special affiliate link, if you want to nab a copy. Really appreciate you using that link.

Have questions (of course you do!)? Ask ‘em below and Clay Collins or another peep from LeadPlayer will hop in there and answer anything your heart desires.

Another really cool feature I didn’t mention in the video is you can also embed OTHER PEOPLE’S YouTube videos on your site and add your opt-in box to it (sneaky, heh!).

One thing I also want to highlight is EASE. Meaning, nothing is worse than something that is complicated to install and then use. LeadPlayer is the opposite of complicated. Installs in a jiffy and if you are reading this, you are more than enough tech savvy to use it. :)

Below is a video from Clay showing how easy it is to use LeadPlayer features.

In an age where there is more information thrown at us than we know what to do with, it’s refreshing to see an option like LeadPlayer that is simple and elegant. LeadPlayer is the perfect video players for building my list because it taps into YouTube (the 2nd most searched website on the planet). The fact that I can go back and re-configure my past videos with LeadPlayer is a bonus too. I am truly amazed at what this tool can do. Initially, I was skeptical about the “disruptive” nature of this tool, but Clay came back and fixed it, giving my audience an option to “skip” entering their information if they choose not to. This makes it a win-win for me.

    • http://www.marketingshow.com Clay Collins

Thanks so much, Seshu! You’re doing some great stuff. And I’m glad that you like LeadPlayer. I’ve enjoyed working with you so far.

What a fantastic addition for a web presence. Making it as easy as possible for people to opt in for your email list will not only get you more opt-ins, but it will make those opt-ins much higher quality. With LeadPlayer, your viewer can opt-in at the moment they are most connected with the message in the video. No more scrolling down to an opt-in form, or searching how to get updates. It’s all taken care of right there in the video. How Cool?

For me, as I’m getting ready to launch a new web show project, I’m asking myself the different ways to build a following, and an email list. LeadPlayer is definitely a big factor in the solution to this question, and regardless if I’m lucky enough to win here, I’ll be incorporating LeadPlayer into all my projects in the future.

Thanks for bringing this equipment to my attention David:-)

  • Kelly Stodola

So add up all of your time ($$$), all of the money developing your site, all of the money spent on your video production and now someone actually watches your video and off they go to Youtube lalala land. Yeah, 147 bucks to fix that – (oh and did I mention this gives you unlimited license so you can fix this for your clients websites?) – that would be the biggest. no-brainer. EVER!

    • David Siteman Garland

      Hah, well said!

  • Pamela Dale

    Hi David,

I already have LeadPlayer…and of course the product is as amazing as you state…I find it so easy to operate…but the #1 reason to buy it is the support. I have gotten AMAZING support from the team. Lynda is awesome. Give it a shot…it’ll change your business big time.

    • http://www.marketingshow.com Clay Collins

Hi Pamela! So glad that you’re enjoying LeadPlayer! It’s been a joy working with you.

      Warm regards,
      Clay

    • David Siteman Garland

      That’s awesome to hear!

  • http://twitter.com/ClaraRoseChat Clara Rose

Okay David… I am intrigued by this new service called Lead Player. I am definately not a master of technology but have just launched my WordPress site and am looking for a tool to help me build my list and make the moolah with video! (By the way I do love the fluffy bunnies of the world but they don’t pay the bills)

I am working on my first video this week… what is one more technology to learn? Watch out world, here I come at 100 miles per hour with my hair on fire!

    • David Siteman Garland

Hah, trust me if you have a website and can click around on the Internet, you can figure out LeadPlayer. It’s that easy.

      • http://twitter.com/ClaraRoseChat Clara Rose

Okay dude… do people still say dude? I have been looking at Lead Player for awhile now, guess it is time to just do it. I’ll let you know how it goes.

  • Ailyn

    Hi David,
This is the perfect continuation for my business to be reaching even more parents, educators and kids around the world! Thanks!

  • Sandy Sidhu

awesome and talk about no-fluff! I love a solution that lives up to its expectations and clearly Leadplayer does that. As a budding mediapreneur who has started making videos this year, LeadPlayer is *exactly* what I need to help grow my list and bring in the bling bling :P And seeing how I’m only about 20 videos in, getting Leadplayer now would mean doing it right from the start! An HD camera would be nice too :)

    • David Siteman Garland

      :)

  • http://lifestoked.com Deacon Bradley

Very awesome David! Lead Player would really help me build my list because I’m doing live-events! The ability to change opt-ins & calls-to-action across my site based on my latest event would be a huge boost and be VERY helpful to “my peeps” (as you would say).

I’m also starting to sketch out a “members only” video course and Lead Player would be the perfect engine to keep that content on the right side of the wall.

  • Linda Buchner

    David,
This is what MINDDRIVE has been waiting for!!! We think that there are tons of people out there dying to see our content and because our non-profit largely counts on volunteers working on our website, etc. there’s not a lot of time to screw around, looking here and there for assets. THIS will help identify those people who are truly interested in what we’re doing with at-risk high school kids!
AND, because you and I live in the same beautiful state of Missouri, I should have a leg up on the competition even though I am in Kansas City – we are connected!
PLUS, we could really use that webcam – we’ve been using Skype in the classroom more and more. We had a great one with an engineer in the UK and he was blown away by our shop, but our webcam sucks so it was hard for him to see the students AND the cars they are building.
We have a LOT of video to produce and get out there! HELP us help our students become the innovators of the future. With much love….Linda Buchner – MINDDRIVE

  • http://www.sociallysorted.com.au Donna Moritz

Because I am about to really focus on (rather than dabble in) video as part of building my business and an exciting Visual Social Media Program I am developing. Couldn’t be more stoked (excited) about the timing of this! I love any tool that doesn’t just make life easier but does it in an insanely creative and innovative way! Awesome – thanks David!

  • DeeCopelandPatience

    1. Leadplayer helps you capture leads from videos that are privately posted on Youtube, so you can build your list and make the bling without broadcasting to people who would rather watch a Gangnam-style bunny dance.

    2. Leadplayer lets you easily choose your own thumbnail so you don’t look drunk or like you’ve been in a car accident…even if you ARE drunk and just got in a car accident.

    3. LeadPlayer automatically resizes your videos to look better on the mobile devices, so people can fall in love with our sexy faces on the go.

    4. ***Fluffy, heart-felt sentiment alert** Leadplayer is one of the few products created by internet marketers FOR internet marketers (and mediapreneurs). Clay’s team is super responsive and they’re constantly improving and expanding the product based on our feedback so we can grow our audience and make the bling bling.

  • Christopher

Okay, this sounds amazing, but how does it prevent youtube leak? On David’s vid, I hit the youtube icon and it took me there. it’s for this reason that I have EZVidPlayer so I can host my own vids with no youtube leakage. Am I missing something? The opt-in feature is cool though. So David, you’re not going to use Wistia anymore?

    • David Siteman Garland

Christopher – I absolutely use Wistia for my shows and also all my private stuff (meaning products , etc.). I like Wistia for that because of the control element of the private stuff and also easily being able to send my long episodes to iTunes.

That was an error of mine (updated now) re: YouTube leak with the logo. What I meant to focus on was after the video/during you can control the call to actions and other videos you might like, etc. don’t appear from YouTube

      • Christopher

        Thanks David!

    • http://www.marketingshow.com Clay Collins

Hi Christopher . . . LeadPlayer reduces YouTube “leakage” but does not eliminate it.

Despite this, we want you to know two things . . .

      Thing #1

First, is that while LeadPlayer does not 100% prevent someone from “leaking” to YouTube, it does significantly reduce your chances of someone leaving your site and going to YouTube. To verify this, please check your analytics, and you’ll see that far far far less than 1% of visitors to pages with LeadPlayer on them end up “leaking” to YouTube.

      Thing #2

Second, while far far less than 1% of your traffic is “leaking” to YouTube, we believe you’ll find that a great deal of your YouTube video views are coming from YouTube (if you’re like us, 30% of our views come from YouTube). So the downside of using YouTube is VERY VERY small, and the upside of using YouTube WITH LeadPlayer is tremendous.

In closing, we want to say that the core focus of LeadPlayer is on (1) generating more traffic, (2) generating more leads/building your list, and (2) creating more sales. So we work with YouTube because YouTube is where the traffic is. We want your sales videos and blog videos and landing page videos to get credited (in terms of YouTube view count) in YouTube when they’re viewed. The more views you get, the more likely you are to rank inside of YouTube (which is the second largest search engine in the world). So we want you to get credit for your views with Google.

So, again, our data and stats bear out that the downside of using YouTube is VERY VERY small, and the upside of using YouTube WITH LeadPlayer is tremendous.

      I hope this makes sense.

      Very warm regards,
      Clay

  • http://www.facebook.com/patty.elizee Patty Elizee

Let’s be honest here David! The SOLE reason “Why LeadPlayer IS the PERFECT video player for building my list and increasing sales with video” is because it was created and powered by dudes who don’t like messing around with “FLUFF” and most certainly wouldn’t be caught dead “Petting Bunnies!” Who wouldn’t want to be among the FIRST to be utilizing this “Game Changing” OPT-IN Feature by LeadPlayer. Hook Me Up! Thanks for sharing & for offering the chance to win it! =D

  • donnaandtora

This sounds great. Can you give me a quick comparison between this and Easy Video Player?

  • http://www.green-talk.com/ Anna @GreenTalk

Lead player is an awesome arsenal weapon for a Earth saving hero like me. I have a ton of YouTube traffic but no leads from them. Simply saying sign up here without a clickable link in the Video is such a waste of time. All that saving the Earth down the drain.

So, either I can be the Earth-saving, waste-no-time hero that I should be by using Lead Player or continue to be a putz with those ridiculous un-clickable titles at the end. You know what Al Gore would tell me to do.

Just two question for Clay: Why doesn’t the lead popup show up on your YouTube videos in YouTube? Can it also be used for other players like BlipTV in BlipTV’s site?

Oh, David, Al says to pick me. He needs me to be on his team and stop being a squirrel.

  • thejasonsadler

One of my biggest problems with YouTube is not having external links to the companies we talk about. The email opt-in is great, but can LeadPlayer do external links?

    • David Siteman Garland

I’ll let the master (Clay and his team) answer that one, but yes when you put it on your site (like my video above) you can link anywhere your heart desires in the video. Check out the very, very end of the review video.

    • http://www.marketingshow.com Clay Collins

Yo thejasonsadler and David Siteman Garland

Jason! I totally get where you’re coming from and we used to be there too.

Here’s are three things that we’ve found:

      Thing #1

LeadPlayer significantly reduces the chances of someone leaving your site and going to YouTube. In fact, our analytics show that less than 1% of visitors to pages with LeadPlayer on them end up “leaking” to YouTube.

      Thing #3

We’ve started using LeadPlayer with YouTube on all our sales page videos and landing page videos . . . because they’re actually getting us sales via YouTube that we otherwise wouldn’t get. Every time your sales videos and landing page videos are watched . .. you get credited (in terms of YouTube view count) within the YouTube ecosystem. The more views you get, the more likely you are to rank inside of YouTube (which is the second largest search engine in the world).

So we’re finding that we’re leaking less than 1% of a given page’s traffic to YouTube, and that more than this is coming back to us in sales. So it’s a net win.

And I’m not the only one doing this. Dudes like James Shramko and many others are moving their sales videos to LeadPlayer (see here: http://www.trafficgrab.com/ )

In closing, I want to say that the core focus of LeadPlayer is on (1) generating more traffic, (2) generating more leads/building your list, and (2) creating more sales. So we work with YouTube because YouTube is where the traffic is.

So, again, our data and stats bear out that the downside of using YouTube is VERY VERY small, and the upside of using YouTube WITH LeadPlayer is tremendous.

      I hope that makes sense.

      Very warm regards,

      Clay

P.S. Please let me know if you have any additional questions :-)

  • Aviv Vana

This is too easy! It’s perfect for list building and increading sales because you can hit your viewers with an opt-in smakc in the middle of their high from watching your content! all by continuing to upload your videos to youtube so people who search for content on youtube will still find your via that route as well! It’s a no brainer. I mean some things you have to think about . . . but this?!

  • http://EasyLunchboxes.com Kelly Lester (Easy Lunchboxes)

Totally need this for my next wave of lunch packing videos and engaging my community even more. Cooking up big things and this is VERY exciting software!! What a fantastic presentation David! Thank you! I’m sold!!!

  • http://www.facilitysuccess.com/ Gary Palmer

    Hi David
I love what Leadplayer can do and I’m excited about the possibility of using it to host my videos on my upcoming interview show.
Can Leadplayer replace my Wistia account ?

    • David Siteman Garland

Hey Gary! I actually have a conversation with Chris at Wistia coming up on The Rise To The Top in a couple of weeks, keep an eye out for it.

I personally have LeadPlayer and Wistia and I use them for different purposes.

For DSG TV which is on YouTube (and anything else I do on YouTube) LeadPlayer = no freakin’ brainer!

For content that is private i.e. Create Awesome Interviews, I use Wistia. And for long episodes of my show (meaning The Rise To The Top itself) I use Wistia especially for helping send it to iTunes.

      That’s how I do it :)

  • Vesone Dean

Aside from being able to have more control over what your audience does on your site, being able to have a clickable call to action and all the other things mentioned in David’s video (awesome stuff btw). I think the thing I love about LP more than anything else is that you can create a call to action that flows seamlessly into your content.

The thing about video is that you can create an epic piece of content but your audience will have to then scroll below the video after it’s done and enter their information. And with all the distractions fighting for our attention, all it takes is a split second and that person who was pumped to watch your video is now on another website, or watching video of people getting the pissed scared out of them because during the “brain puzzle video” someone pops on the screen and screams like hell…you know you’ve seen those videos before.

Lead Player is leveling the playing field when it comes to video versus written content, with written you can always stick a opt-in form right where you’re talking about why your audience should be apart of your list, video now has the ability to do that..and it’s awesome.

  • http://twitter.com/CJMoore CJMoore

Maybe I don’t have a clear understanding of this product.

You’re telling me that Clay Collins has developed the perfect video player. One that can solve my problem of collecting opt-ins mid-stream on youtube videos embedded on my websites? One that’s a bounce killer, a leak stopper? Are you trying to put plumbers out of business? You mean that it has become easy to collect opt-ins and embed affiliate links in other peeps video–videos that are embedded on my webpages? And now it is even possible, with LeadPlayer, to capture leads on the iOS smartphone? Genius.

The LeadPlayer must be working with the secret fluff stopping squad I’ve heard whispered about–the SFSS.

Moreover, I’ve heard, the LeadPlayer cuts down on work because you can update multiple videos at once, their opt-ins and calls to actions–a few clicks and, BAM!, finished. Did I mention yet, the LeadPlayer is going to turn me into a lead generating tycoon. It is so easy to use, I can’t believe Clay Collins isn’t making us pay for it with plutonium. My sales are going to explode, bomb, you know.

Even if you didn’t feel as detached from reality as me when you found out about the LeadPlayer and these scenarios aren’t running through your head, yet…. You can’t argue with the fact that the LeadPlayer is the most doable and easy solution for opt-ins, calls to action, affiliate links and more when you are utilizing youtube and wordpress or other website systems.

Not to mention, LeadPlayer integration is so smooth; it’s unlike the hand-wavy air horn blasts I see around the web that try to get me to opt-in to their lists before I’ve had a chance to experience their content. Instead, LeadPlayer whispers in your ear just at the moment you’ve been wooed or wowed by the video content you’ve been watching. It turns a nuisance into a blessing. This is alchemy folks.

I’m trying to work my way back to reality, but, it’s hard; Clay Collins has put a dent in my brain. I can’t wait to start using LeadPlayer. I now realize the potential that awaits me.

I’m feeling a traffic storm raining leads down that are clogging up my sales pipes; all the while, the weather is getting reported via the youtube view counter upping the search rankings that are bringing more peeps to my messages. I’m feeling no downside to the integration with the youtube platform, well, maybe–an umbrella.

If LeadPlayer was a bunny–fluff be gone–it’d be a cast solid gold bunny figure that you’d want to rub for luck, but you won’t have to worry about luck when the LeadPlayer is on your team.

What to do next: team me up with a LeadPlayer because it is the perfect video player. Cheers.

    • David Siteman Garland

CJ – Congratulations my friend! You are one of the two winners (yay!) you win a copy of LeadPlayer and an HD Webcam. Please contact: lynda@ave81.com to nab your prizes. Congrats again!

    • David

Hey Cj, Congrats on winning. That is an awesome thing!!!

  • http://www.facebook.com/Collins.Trevor Trevor Collins

    LeadPlayer is awesomesauce.

I cannot believe how perfect this contest is. It’s like a mediapreneur ninja has been tiptoeing around my room, watching what I’ve been working on and sent you a note via carrier pigeon asking to hold a contest that gave the specific rewards I need.

Here’s the backdrop of the company I’m founding… we let aspiring musicians be educated by distinguished professionals from around the world in an HD webcam environment. And I realized that this whole project will hinge on ONE thing. A sizable musician list I can build relationships with, give a ton of value to, and later monetize on as I release the beta version to the public.

So I thought – how will I rise my new venture to the top?!

And IT HIT ME. I’m starting a video blog, Musicians Summit, where I interview and connect with musicians from around the world. In ninja fashion, this is secretly leading to the launch of my company. Increasing the size of my list and depth of relationships will equal sales conversions when I
launch. I’m going to rock the socks off of musicians who tune in.

My Christmas wish list already included a Logitech C920 and the Blue Yeti. I’ve been saving up for these! And they are in fact the two pieces of equipment I’m standardizing across my music education company. With the LeadPlayer and HD webcam setup, I’ll be unstoppable :)

Imagine opt in boxes in the middle of a gripping dialogue. Or a call to action, driving traffic to the business website, after a powerful piece of music. Or a beautiful and seamless video experience that musicians flock to like bees to honey. Get out of here! Whether or not I win this contest, LeadPlayer will be a must have for me. It just makes sense.

    Cheers, David and Clay.
