St. Louis RISE Lunch: Your deepest, darkest and random-est business & marketing questions answered by the experts.
The #1 Non-Boring, Fluff-Free, Forward-Thinking Business Lunch In St. Louis
RISE lunch is BACK on June 10th featuring entrepreneurs, business owners, forward-thinkers and oh so much more coming together for mingling, a delicious lunch and interactive presentations.
For the June event, we are heading a few blocks away in Clayton to Brad Beracha of Beracha Concepts other amazing restaurant Miso Lounge (taking place in their newly expanded street level) and are limiting tickets to JUST 45. All RISE lunches have 100% sold out in a hurry (I’ve gotten emails/calls/pigeon messages each time from folks who missed out) due to a big interest & limited tickets (intimacy never goes out of style). So, don’t delay and avoid the risk of getting shut out.
This month, things are getting even more interactive. We have formed a panel of some amazing entrepreneurs that have built successful businesses to help you and field your biggest (and smallest) questions. The guarantee is that it will be fun, informative and you will get to the pick the brains of the some pretty cool cats (another reason why we are limiting to just 45 people).
RISElists (sounds better than panelists) includes:
Scott Scully: Scott Scully has been an entrepreneur for most of his professional career. He has either started or invested in several different companies. Two of those companies were noted in INC. Magazine and The Saint Louis Business Journal’s Fastest Growing Companies lists. Scully also received the 40 Under 40 award from the Saint Louis Business Journal. His current projects are two new companies: Gateway Business Development, a pipeline management and social media strategy company; and Abstrakt Marketing Group, a full-service advertising and marketing company.
Allyson Mace: Publisher and founder of Sauce Magazine. An inveterate entrepreneur, Mace grew up under the guidance of her mother Janet and father Eugene Mace, a career newspaperman and publisher. From childhood, the ink was permanent in her blood. Enter adulthood, she launched the website Saucemagazine.com in 1999 and now owns the area’s largest monthly print publication, Sauce Magazine which was first published in 2001. Recently Hot Sauce Deals of the Day launched and is proving to be a product that follows the mantra of Sauce; Dine, drink and live well but now it’s give well with 10% of it’s proceeds going to local area charities.
Matt Harris: VP Of Marketing at Intelispend (formally American Express Incentive Services). Matt leads InteliSpend’ marketing team in the development and implementation of strategic initiatives for promotions, product, quality and research. Harris brings a unique understanding of motivation, incentives and loyalty philosophy to the prepaid space. Before joining InteliSpend, Harris worked as vp of marketing and solution development for Maritz Inc. During his tenure, he championed the development of thought-leadership positions, led efforts to create an innovative, unified brand and helped to introduce a more solutions-focused go-to-market strategy.
David Siteman Garland: Entrepreneur and marketer David Siteman Garland is the Founder of The Rise To The Top, The #1 Non-Boring Resource For Building Your Business Smarter, Faster, Cheaper. He writes/hosts RISE, a daily online web show for entrepreneurs & marketers(www.therisetothetop.com) and The Rise To The Top TV show on ABC. His first book “Smarter, Faster, Cheaper” published by John Wiley & Sons, Inc. will be out in late-fall 2010.

We have gotten some GREAT feedback from past RISE lunches with folks enjoying the presentations and meeting some great people (building relationships in this town is key). Here is what one attendee from last month’s RISE Lunch had to say.
