From Video Blogging at the Kitchen Counter to Nickelodeon: The Behind-the-Scenes Story of Mom Friends Forever

This is a pretty crazy story.

A few years ago, a friend of mine told me about this video blog, “Lipstick N Laundry”, where two funny moms sat at a kitchen table and, well, basically talked smack. They discussed pop culture, mom issues, dating, and all kinds of crazy stuff. All while working other jobs.

People told them they wouldn’t make it. People told them to stop wasting their time creating content. People told them it was ridiculous to get up early, figure out the filming, and create a show.

And now the show has been picked up (and re-imagined) by Nickelodeon in their new NickMoms programming.

Woah. How the heck did THAT happen?

I was on a quest to find out, so I tracked down Judi and Kate to spill the beans.
