About Today’s Guest, Rob Murgatroyd:

Rob MurgatroydThis is a common problem with creative entrepreneurs. We work on our businesses. We work on other important things (family, friends, etc.). Something has to give, because we aren’t super humans, right? Usually that something is fitness. And that sucks.

Is it possible to get in incredible shape and run your business? Darn right it is. In fact, I had the problem that today’s guest (his second time on the show actually, check out the first interview here) Rob Murgatroyd had. I was working out and eating “right”, but I was in like ridiculous-holy-crap shape (yet, I wanted to be). Rob has the same issue so he infiltrated the world of fitness models (seriously) and got himself into unreal shape while running his business (he is also married to Kim, who will be on the show next week, and has a daughter).

Today on the show, Rob shares some tricks of the trade he picked up to get you started on the path to better fitness. And even cooler, the program that Rob and Kim created that I’m a tester for (it is absolutely amazing and I’m on day 40 right now) called Jet Set Body (affiliate) is now available to get you in badass shape. They will provide the blueprint, you provide the hard work.

Seriously, ridiculously highly recommended. Enjoy!

Great interview. I got started earlier this year and it’s surprising how fast things happen, once you make a clean break from conventional wisdom. The more amazing thing (to me, anyway) is how they can travel so much with a kid!

    • David Siteman Garland

Absolutely, Sean, Lots of crap advice out there on the subject. And definitely, I believe they also take her on her own special trips.

Enjoyed this interview and having done bodysculpting before I know the journey he’s taken and how hard it is to maintain. I also agree that with more and more people just sitting at laptops is making us so out of shape and it’s dangerous for our health and stress levels.

PS is that a New Zealand shirt he’s wearing?

N – Hah, of course I’m typing this as I sit at my laptop (sigh lol). But, off to the gym in a few. Rob is a great inspiration and teacher.

Pretty sure the shirt is New England :)

Hope the gym was great. I recall at our dinner in Las Vegas you go in the afternoon so that you knock off from work and get more focused. I’ve been getting into cycling to and from 1.5 hour yoga classes while I’m here in Manhattan Beach otherwise I do sit in front of my laptop for way too long.

New England – sheesh, so close yet so far

    Hey David,

Just watched this now.  Great energy from both of you. I wish you all the best on your journey as well my friend.  That’ s always exciting stuff.  I would actually be interested in interviewing you about this journey in fact.  Could we chat offline to see if their is a fit?

    • David Siteman Garland

Dean – Appreciate that. Feel free to shoot me an email to David AT TheRiseToTheTop DOT com. I’ll be through the program second week in September.
