RARE OPPORTUNITY: Watch Me “Coach” 4 Mediapreneurs and Help Them with Their Businesses

Got a little “surprise – different show” today. And I have a feeling you are going to find it ridiculously valuable.

You get to be a fly on the wall for four mini coaching sessions with different mediaprenuers at all stages of the game who won the chance to come on via a survey I sent out at the end of last year. Watch them grill me as I answer their questions and point them in the right direction. Unedited. Uncut.

And here is what I’m guessing. You are going to learn something interesting that you can apply to your biz. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve listened to other folks talk about a problem they were having and something clicked with me. You never know when that click will happen.

Watch/Listen below to the coaching sessions in rapid fire!

I use RISE partner Wistia for video hosting because they rock. Check ‘em out.

David! I have just watched a few minutes of your coaching session with Donna (Tora?) so far, and I already got a few pointers for my own show. Batching the interviews. Like duh! Why didn’t I think of that? This is one of the most useful things you’ve ever posted.

Loved the episode. Got a page of very useful notes that I will apply to my show. I like your advice on ‘5% tweaks as opposed to a 95% overhaul’. Also, the thing you said about online courses: make sure there’s an immediate tangible benefit in the end. But the biggest value I got out of the episode was your advice on niching down, from your own experience on Rise: “The combination of who I wanted to reach and the most passionate subset of the current audience”. Awesome stuff, DSG.

GREAT takeaways Faheem. So glad you picked those up and go get ‘em!

Yeah I kind of got the same as Faheem. What really stood out was “Their are riches in the specifics”. That was good advice. I would have de-legitimized it by being my corny self and saying “There are riches in them niches”.

Great compliment to the content that we’ve been covering in The Host To The Top. The advice on niche development is so key.

Love this kind of content. Takes guts to consult in front of the world…proves your ability and willingness to truly open the door. Excellent decision to share this will the Rise Nation.

I have to admit that I originally skipped this because I wasn’t sure if it would be relevant. I’m glad I watched because I got some ideas and I think a flip-side is that I also got to see how you coach others.

You don’t cringe or laugh in our faces when you probably want to (just admit it). I know that I’ve personally said some stupid stuff and done dumb things that make you wonder if I’m all there. However, I’m glad you talked about how tough it was to change your model for the Host to the Top. I was originally excited during the teaser months, but got a little surprised with the structure and price. It didn’t fit what I needed and I wasn’t interested in 12 weeks for $1k.

It’s not that you weren’t going to provide the value and it was totally worth it, but it wasn’t what I needed to get to the next level. With the current format, I feel supported and like I’m really achieving something each week. It’s tough making these types of changes and the format may be adjusted over time, but I think you made the right decision. I’m not sure that I would have been able to pivot as quickly as you did.
