Jeff is a Principal at the law firm of Danna McKitrick P.C. Currently an Adjunct Professor at St. Louis University School of Law and formerly an Adjunct Professor at Washington University, Jeff received his J.D. with honors from Villanova University. He also graduated from Penn State (B.A.) and Washington University Engineering School (B.S.M.E.). He has been an Adjunct Professor at Harvard and UCLA Law Schools.
Jeff is currently seeking high technology clients seeking to protect or exploit their proprietary technology in the U.S. and overseas.
Jeff’s business and entertainment law career spans 25 years beginning with Director of Contracts at UniDynamic’s Corporation and Vice President of KangaRoos Shoes, where he managed that shoe company’s sports star licensing. He then moved into music videos, trademarks, movies, television and litigation; including representation of hip-hop rapper Nelly; the recording group Hanson in their world-wide trademark registrations, contracts for actress Neve Campbell, and recently Katherine Heigl and Nicky Hilton Worldwide, Inc., among other national and local entertainers. Jeff also represents represent Endorsement rights of Jennifer Garner, Robert Downey Jr., Hayden Pantiere and Universal Studios in the Midwest .
Legal activities include setting up new businesses, the negotiation of contracts relating to recording contracts, movie options, books, articles, software, video games and movie production and distribution. Jeff also represents the William Morris Agency in the Midwest and international media corporations, Internet companies and established and new entrants into online entertainment businesses.
Jeff is co-founder and co-chair of the E-Commerce and Computer Law Committee of the Bar Association of Metropolitan St. Louis; was twice President of the Inventors’ Association of St. Louis; Vice President of Art St. Louis, and a graduate of Leadership St. Louis. He is also a member of the Baker Street Irregulars and was a Captain in the US Army.
