Check out the latest interviews with AJ Leon.
AJ Leon is the CEO and Creative Director of The LaC Project and is a writer, blogger, and speaker.
AJ has worked with or trained over 100 organizations in the US and the UK concerning the landscape of digital asset development and deployment, the construction of user-centric web experiences, the use of new media and emerging technologies in developing authentic and human connections with fans, customers, donors and supporters.
The LaC Project is more than AJ’s company, it is his poetry. He believes that your business, especially now, needs to look less like a pie graph and more like a poem. There are poets in every field and every industry, and the new web gives us the opportunity to extend who we are into how we do business. And that is a special thing.
I like to call it digital schmoozing. The art of small talk online. Because if you think about it, when you see someone face-to-face you aren’t going to talk shop the whole time are you? You might talk about family, sports, how they are doing, all those “little things.” And not to sell someone something. It isn’t like saying: “Hi, Joe. How are the kids?” “They are great.” “That is fantastic, Joe. Let me talk about this dishwasher you need to buy from me.” Yuck. Small talk isn’t a game or manipulative strategy. It is genuinely caring. And this among many other topics in doing business as a human and not a logo or robot are chatted up on today’s episode with my guest AJ Leon. AJ does a lot of things really well. He is a writer, blogger, speaker and CEO (and creative director) at a unique agency that focuses on human interactions/marketing called The LaC Project. He also has a really unique background we discuss during the interview as well. You can connect with AJ via his blog and on Twitter.
