In his own words:

I have always hated working for others and loved working for myself. I was born in Washington State to blue-collar parents. I had two loves as a kid: hypnosis and marketing. As a kid, I read things like “Think and Grow Rich” and answered ads from people like Joe Karbo.

I got in trouble in sixth grade for hypnotizing some friends at camp. I also got in trouble that same year for hypnotizing some boys in the bathroom. That sounds strange to me now, but ultimately that lead to a very successful career in Stage Hypnosis.

I built that business with my spouse, Wendy. She is the brains in the family. Together we toured all over the United States, performing and having fun. Ultimately other entertainers took note and started coming to me to assist them with their careers. I was happy to help.

That lead to more and more consultations, when one day someone told me I should be charging for the help. You would have thought I would have figured that out on my own, but I didn’t. However, I did like the idea. I quickly started charging. That led to a series of products and training material that help entertainers around the world to this day. In fact, my Stage Hypnosis book is typically the best selling or second best selling stage hypnosis book on Amazon.

While working with so many people around the world, I wanted a way to automate webinars. That is when my software system called StealthSeminar was created by a mad genius named Greg. It was originally created just for my use. I never intended to offer it to others. It did not even occur to me I could make money from them, until about a year after I had been turning down money from Marketing Gurus that wanted to use my service.

Finally, I got smart and made it available to others. Now it is the most highly regarded webinar software available and had the highest use in 2011 – over 100 million attended minutes of automated webinars. As Wendy and I performed around the country, from tiny towns with dirt roads to opening up large rock concerts in arenas with shows for over 25,000 people, Wendy was willing to temporarily sacrifice a family for my entertainment dreams.

Wendy did this for years, yet all the while we knew at one point we would need to slow down our travel in order to start a family. And then, in 2004, our son, Riddick, was born in Edmonds, Washington. We wanted a strong sounding name, and Riddick Bowe was one of my favorite boxers.

A month after his birth, we moved to Arizona, where we reside to this day. Due to working for ourselves we are able to live a wonderful life. We enjoy family vacations when we desire, travel as we care, see our son Riddick grow up each day and we live a life many can only dream. I have come a long way from the kid who grew up blue collar.

Because we decided to work for ourselves, we now have time to do things we truly enjoy. Wendy has become a published author. You can find her under her pen name, Carly Fall, on Amazon, Barnes and Noble, and many other sites. I finally have time to enjoy concerts and boxing matches, and I love it.

It has been a great ride so far, but the best part is it is only the beginning. And yes, I’m still unemployable, but you will not find a person that is happier working for themselves.
