Kevin Miller is a lifetime self-employed guy and Founder of Free Agent Academy. Free agency is all he knows. Kevin’s dad was always self-employed. Many know him as the ’48 Days To The Work You Love’ guy (Dan Miller). He had Kevin working his own business ideas from a young age. Right out of high school, Kevin went his own way and proceeded to go through the wringer of business building. From being a pro athlete, to success and failure during the dot com craze, to independent contractor in the corporate world, to business consultant.
It was during the latter as a business consultant that Kevin found his true passion and care…working with people on their ideas and bringing them to life. Kevin believes you should be working full time on what you care about…what you would do for free. And owning it, working on your own agenda and timeline and beliefs.
But doing individual consulting is pretty limited in it’s reach, and it’s pretty costly to start up “solopreneurs”. Thus the idea of “group coaching”. Free Agent Academy started with an online community of paid members around 2007 and eventually even held physical events. It was really these face-to-face gatherings with 30-50 people that established what is today. Every quarter everyone assembles together, kind of like knights of the round table. People on the same journey of taking their passions and abilities and creating works of love and profit.
