At age 40 author Tosca Reno found herself miserable, overweight, stuck in an unhappy marriage and living an unfulfilled life. Her self-esteem was at an all-time low. She barely recognized the woman she had become. Determined to change her life for the better, she entered the doors of her local gym and never looked back. The minute she hopped on the treadmill she felt like she was taking control of her life again. She began writing a column in Oxygen, a renowned fitness magazine. Tosca shared her personal story of transformation, her triumphs and her challenges, as well as her advice to others. Readers were enthralled with Tosca, flooding her with fan mail and questions. Recognizing that others were as hungry for change as she once was, Tosca decided to record her journey in a book entitled The Eat-Clean Diet®. The book initiated an twelve-title series that has sold over a million copies! The latest in the series is The Eat-Clean Diet® Cookbook 2 with over 150 brand new great-tasting recipes that keep you lean! Tosca introduces readers to a world of simple-to-make, healthy recipes that go far beyond your everyday salad. In 2009, Tosca released a beautiful hardcover cookbook, entitled Tosca Reno’s Eat Clean Cookbook, which was nominated for a Gourmand World Cookbook Award. The book is filled with 150 delicious and nutritious recipes each accompanied with a gorgeous full-page photograph. in 2010, Tosca became a New York Times® bestselling author with her book Your Best Body Now: Look and Feel Fabulous at Any Age the Eat-Clean Way.
Tosca’s ability to share her no-holds-barred wisdom in a firm but tender-hearted, concerned manner has made her a hot commodity. Along with her column in Oxygen magazine, she now writes a column for Clean Eating magazine, is a regular contributor to Maximum Fitness and Reps! magazines, has been a host on Extra and a guest on numerous national television programs including Good Morning America, The Montel Williams Show, and The Doctors, was the star of her own Gemini Award-winning reality show named Tosca: Flexing at 49 and tours North America consulting and conducting seminars for companies, government agencies, schools and private organizations. Audiences are captivated by Tosca’s high energy, no-nonsense delivery of her message, responding with everything from tears to laughter.
Tosca hit the stage again for the Miss Bikini America physique competition in Las Vegas at the age of 49, proving that you are only as old as you feel. She lives by the following credo by Goethe: “Whatever you can do, or dream you can, begin it. Boldness has genius, power and magic in it.”
Tosca Reno was born in Lachine, Quebec. She graduated with a B.Sc. from Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario and a B.Ed. from York University in Toronto, Ontario. Tosca lives in Caledon, Ontario with her husband Robert Kennedy and their children.
