Check out the latest interviews with Tucker Max.
Tucker Max received his BA from the University of Chicago in 1998. He attended Duke Law School on an academic scholarship, and earned his JD in 2001 (despite the fact that he neglected to buy any of his textbooks for his final two years and spent part of one semester – while still enrolled in classes – living in Cancun). His first book, I Hope They Serve Beer In Hell, has spent over 150 weeks on the NY Times Best Seller List and has over 1.5 million books in print. He co-wrote and produced the movie based on his life/book, also titled “I Hope They Serve Beer In Hell.” He has also been credited with being the originator and leader of a new literary genre, “fratire,” and was nominated to the Time Magazine 100 Most Influential List in 2009. He currently lives in Austin, Texas.
Audio Only Player OK, so a disclaimer before this one. If you are easily offended, this interview might not be for you. Be warned there is some, um, graphic language. That being said, for the rest of us, there is a TON to learn from today’s guest, Tucker Max. He is the author of TWO New York Times Best Selling books: I Hope They Serve Beer In Hell and Assholes Finish First. But, more than that, he has one heck of a story. My goal on RISE is to bring you the stories and exclusive interviews with people successfully pursuing their passions. People that have scratched that itch and made it. With the goal, of course, to inspire you to do the same. And regardless if you love, hate, agree with, disagree with, or want to have a beer with Tucker, there is a great story here about a guy who left the corporate world and went after a big idea of becoming a professional writer. In this interview, he shares how this happened. Enjoy!
